When my girlfriend and I moved in together, we wanted to live a clean life. We got rid of all our non-stick pans, plastic containers, and synthetic hair and face products, and one by one we replaced them with real and natural things.
When it came to getting rid of candles, we ran into a problem: we could not find a single candle brand that sold clean, pure candles made from beeswax and coconut wax that didn't use synthetic fragrances messing with our hormones. And when we did find some, they were extremely overpriced and unaffordable. So we decided to change that and make our own candles.
They turned out perfectly and we would have them lit in our home all day. We decided to give some to friends who were living similar lifestyles to us, and they loved it.
We realized the whole world needed this, and that we would be the ones to fix this problem, one candle at a time.

100% pure cotton wick
braided cotton, with no lead and no metal core. it burns steady and clean — and it is the reason you never get that ring of black soot up the inside of the jar.
pure essential oils
scent that comes from actual plants — pressed citrus peel, distilled lavender, cedarwood. never a synthetic fragrance blend hiding behind the single word "fragrance".
coconut wax + beeswax
a blend of coconut wax and beeswax instead of paraffin. it burns slower, cooler and longer, and it does not put petroleum by-products into the air of the room you are sitting in.
a plain glass jar
a lot of candles come in painted tin or resin vessels, and coatings like that can give off fumes once they heat up. ours is plain vintage-style glass — nothing coating it, nothing to release. yours to keep and reuse after.

no cheaper substitutes

yes — every candle is hand-poured in small batches, not mass-produced on a factory line. it's part of why no two jars are ever perfectly identical, and we like it that way.
how do i burn my candle the first time?
let it burn for 2–3+ hours on the first light, until the melted wax pools all the way to the edge of the jar. this sets an even "memory ring" so the candle burns cleanly for the rest of its life — skipping this step can cause tunneling later on.
how long does each candle burn?
each 8oz jar burns for approximately 35–40 hours.
why is the scent lighter than other candles i've tried?
because it's real. candles scented with pure essential oils burn softer and more subtly than candles made with synthetic fragrance oils — they're meant to fill a room gently, not knock you over when you walk in. if you're used to fragrance-oil candles, expect something quieter and more natural.
